6hp mercury seizes up after 15 minutes

Just got a jon boat with a 6hp mercury 2 stroke. Runs fine for about 15 minutes, then dies. Can't pull to start up again until it cools down. Then repeats the cycle of running for about 15 minutes before it shuts down again. Any ideas? |
