We have a 2006 Sun Tracker Party Barge 21 pontoon boat with a 60 HP Mercury 2 cycle outboard. I am getting an alarm when I increase the speed/rpm up over 4000 rpm after a brief period of time. When I back it down the alarm shuts off about 5 to 10 seconds later. Does anybody know what conditions might cause the alarm to go off and how to go about fixing the issue?
