2001 Yamaha 130 2 stroke

Hello Fellow Anglers, I've had my 2001 Yamaha 130 2 stroke since new, serviced yearly and only used seasonally. I've relocated and can now use it almost year round. I just had it fully service in February of this year. I run it every 2-3 weeks and it starts and runs well every time from a cold start. Here's my problem: I have a lot of difficulty starting after it's been run. Cold start isn't the problem. Warm start is the problem! It's a 2001 with very low hours. Is there a fix for this? I've spoken with 2 certified Yamaha techs and they're telling me it's an inherent problem with 115 and 130 2-strokes and the only fix is to remove the engine cover and spray 2 small sprays of ether into the carb intake. It does work but who wants to remove the engine cover when you're fishing in the ocean?! I'm being told the only solution is to repower with a new or newer 4 stroke. Any thoughts?
