Hey I have a 1978 70hp Johnson took the boat out on the weekend and the prop broke I have now taken the prop off it says in the centre that it's a 14 x17 prop so I'm guessing that's the size I'm not sure when ordering a prop when it's says 14 1/4x 17 means , is the quarter the measurement between the prop and the bottom of the leg ? And do most props fit on the Johnson motor or is there special makes for this model, I would like to get the best out of my engine and what would be a good recommendation for it ?...thanks in advance Email is Blake.anderson2490@gmail.com Really appreciate any help
