Bought the motor and it ran good whenever I out it on my boat the it didnt sound right so I took it to the local mechanic who is a year out on jobs. He listened to the motor run and pulled the top wire of spark plug and the engine barely lost any power put it back on then pulled bottom and the engine cut off. so I asked him what to do he said to rebuild the carbs and fuel pump so I did I emptied out old gas ran new lines went ahead and replaced coil and power pack and new plugs and it ran good had another mechanic tune the carbs to where it was running right well I took it out. it was stubborn to crank and I didnt think much of it but later that day I was going down the water way and it lost almost all power at full throttle and was skipping really bad so I limped back to the boat ramp. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on??
