I have a 25 hp 4-stroke Yamaha outboard. On yesterdays fishing trip I lost the lift part of the tilt and trim. 1st I lost it when the throttle was wide open. I could slow a little and the lift would work. By days end the lift would only function with the throttle placed in neutral. The down always worked. This situation is whether the button on the throttle or on the outboard was tried. If that's not weird enough, I can not duplicate the problem in my yard. With the motor off it works 100% of the time. After running the motor 30 minutes it still works. This is the second time this problem has occurred within the past few weeks so I know something is wrong. Anyone have any suggestions? Please!
