While boat (2006 bass tracker) is on trailer with earmuffs on, motor has high rpms when I put it in gear (forward), but once it's in water it only gets up to 4000 rpm. Hardly enough to get on plain.
Noticed yesterday that while in water, rpms are normal in reverse, up to 6000 rpm, but put it back in forward & only 4000 rpm.
Has new plugs, coil packs, fresh high octane gas with no water, idles great & starts like new, just no forward power. Alarm will beep once as I turn key, but never an alarm as I'm driving, doesn't get hot or shut down, runs good, again just no forward power. It was running 5500-6000 rpm & about 34mph, now it's about 4000 rpm & 20mph.
Any help would be appreciated
