My pontoon boat has a Yamaha shifter and outdrive on Harris float boat with. It has had shifting problems for years. It has gotten so bad that it wouldn’t come out of gear without turning the engine off. We bought new yamaha cables for the boat (shifter to engine and from engine to outdrive ). After installing both cables, we cannot find the correct settings for transmission and kill switch or whatever you call that little switch. Can anyone tell me what i need to do?
