1989 40hp johnson .

Used my 40hp johnson all day on the water today, got it back home to flush the outboard and while the motor was getting trim down it stopped suddenly, now i can't even start it. I still seem to have power in the batery, it still runs the vhf and fishfinder, just not the motor, is there a fuse i need to be looking for?
