115 Mercury 2008 Triton runs too slow.

Three months ago we bought a (new)2008 Triton Cypress Cay Tritoon with a 115 Mercury. We got the boat from "Sport Boats USA" Ozark Mo.
When we took the boat with the sales person for a demo the boat ran 32mph. The boat has never been to that speed again. It eventually slowed to 14 mph. wide open. "Sport Boats USA" has had this boat in the shop three time for this problem. They say the motor is testing good. They thought the center log had water in it causing a weight problem. They drilled a hole in the log but found no water. "Sport Boats USA" then said it could be algae buildup so they cleaned the boat and tried again. This did not help. The last attempt at a repair was to change the prop. The boat now runs at 22mph 5300rmp wide open. We have never owned a boat before so any advice on what we should do next would be greatly appreciated.

Taking care of the problem
by: Anonymous

We have not found what is causing the problem, but the Triton Co. and Sports boat USA come up with a solution and have been very diligent about resolving the problem.
