would you be able to put a v8 5.0 moter and outdrive in place of a 3.0 omc 82 seaswwril

I am going to do the same thang. (4.3 swap 5.7) all you need is new manifolds and 350(ebay has the manifold) with a one piece rear main 1988 or newer.
