Tracker Deep V with Mercury 115 Optimax - humming after boat is off

Tracker Targa 175 with 115HP Mercury Optimax.

I have a Tracker Targa 175 with 115HP Mercury Optimax. It has one forward and one aft livewell and each live well has a rocker switch for off, automatic and manual. Went fishing this weekend on Minocqua lake, WI. First problem was with the forward live well. When switched off, it still filled as if on automatic. I am assuming a bad switch so I disconnected the terminals until I find a replacement switch. The second problem is that after turning off the boat and putting on the trailer, there was an electrical humming sound (faint) coming from the stern area. I double checked that all of the switches to the bilge pump and aft livewell were off. Ended up disconnecting the battery and the humming stopped. Any thoughts on what this humming could be? Also have or had a mouse living on board and hoping it didn't chew through anything electrical.
