Starcraft engine just clicks...

i own a starcraft 17' with merc 4 cyl 318 cid. i replaced starter last fall because of "clicking" and inconsistent starting, this week again just clicking when key is turned, but started after many attempts..but had to be towed to shore after failed to restart... replaced selonoid. now just "clicks again...ugh... any advise would be helpful..
