Higher will help
by: Steve

Adjusting the motor height can make a difference. Rule of thumb is the cavitation plate should be just even with the keel when the motor is trimmed down. I raised my motor about 2" above the keel and the boat runs flatter. I want it even higher but I'm out of holes. Motor should be as high as you can get it without causing the prop to ventilate. Good luck!
