Radio Operator Carrier

by zaini hj.kasa
(brunei)

I've been working as an oilrig Radio Operator for 17 yrs. now, since i don't have any experience other than Radio Operator, i've been trying to look/surfing so many website hoping that there will be a vacancy for Radio Operator but unfortunately there ain't any...why???
Why these days some major oil company don't want to hire Radio Operator??Are Radio Operator not important anymore?

ANSWER

Technology and instant satellite telephones mean radio opertors are no longer need or not often even ships no longer have thrm, with internet email and instant dial phone, radios are no longer much used except on board and between rigs and boats etc and each other
