qualifications and skills needed.

by Rawiri.Korewha
(Tom Price)

I am a 23 year old male, have successfully completed a Engineering Mechanical Fitting Apprenticeship by Apprenticeship Western Australia, with the host company being Rio Tinto iron ore Minning Operations, located in Tom Price.

After completing my time i would like to engage the oil and gas off shore rigs as one of my long term goals. Though i have limited direction as to were to begin my quest.

I am able to afford the oncomming cost of certificates and travel, but still need more answeres please.

as to..

where can i start learning the industry, within the Mechanical feilds?

How can i get my foot in the door?

Where can i experience oil and gas trainning?

more question to ask.

ANSWER
GO enrol and get a marine engineering qualification, jobs as rig mechanics are scarce so start with getting some marine qualifications, marine engineers in short supply
