power tilt

Adding atf to 1990 40 hp evinrude power tilt.

What are the steps to take?

How do I add the fluid?

Can I mix dextron atf with the fluid that is already in there? and if not how do i make sure it is completely drained once i've figured out how to drain it?

The Power Tilt lowers on its own right now once i have raised it all the way up...
