Have a 1989 120hp Johnson motor on a 18' Fish & Ski Javelin boat. The motor always starts, the advice I need is when running the boat you can start going at an idle, power up the throtle to come up on plane. It's always a suprise, sometimes it does and the next time it doesn't. I have changed plugs sprayed a power tune product into the carbs. Changed fuel line and filter. Changed props all with the same results. I'll check for your advise. Have also put a can of sea foam in the gas tank and ran motor. Still no changes.
