Oil Rigs Working in general

hi i am a 26 year old industrial maintenance electrician whith a large mechanical founding as well. i have worked on maintenance in a ship yard which is where i trained, and now work in a heavy industry enviroment. i have had thoughts about possibly changing and ofshore is something ihave been thinkin about working offshore and was just wondering if you could tell me how relivant my curren qualifications would be. ads mentioned i am from heavy industy so motors pumps etc are familiar
