Oil rig jobs and criminal records
by: Anonymous

Of course companies with offshore rigs would prefer not to employ criminals, because its a very small enviroment and working community offshore. If you've had any real shady dealings then forget about applying.
The purpose now of employing personnel without a criminal record is mainly the countries that you are required to work in or pass through to get offshore, require by law for the employee to have a police/security clearance. For the purpose of obtaining a work visa then this clearance is mandatory. Good luck

felony

I read a question concerning this. The reply was if they don't ask they don't know. Not a good response. Everyone asks these days. The question is can you have a felony at all-and if so do they take it on an individual basis.
