Oil Rig Employment

I Am a certified 2nd class marine engineer and I also have a HD mechanics ticket. I have opperated my own marine buisness for the last 10 years. I have 34 years in the marine and Heavy duty trades. I have not worked in the oil industry but have been at sea and arround haevy machenary for most of my life.I have a good resume and I just want a job. What am I doing wrong?

ANSWER: Well there is so much work for a person like you so either you have a resume that stinks, or experience is poor or simply you arent going to the right places. If you have a current engineers licence then they are screaming for engineers so go try Seadrill.com website and load details, or transocean, frontier drilling and so on,
