no spark to engine on 85 hp johnson

Replaced the selectric switch on my 1972 glastron boat w/85 hp motor but i am not getting a spark to the engine, could I have not put the wires back on the selectric switch as they came from the factory? There are 5 wires that attach to the back of the selectric switch. Please help!
