1974 bayliner power trim

when i purchased this boat it did not even have a working trim motor now i replaced it with a used unit,now its building preasure then losing it it took me 15 minutes to raise it 4 inches. it goes down fairly quick but up its slowww do you have a clue whats going on.

It sounds as if your power trim motor is going bad or you need hydraulic fluid. You can bypass the hydraulics by turning the air screw located on the side of hydraulic reservoir. this will allow you to atleast lift the motor and lock in place for trailering.

I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THE TRIM ON MY MOTOR AS WELL. iTS THE EXACT SAME THING BUT MINE WILL ONLY GO UP. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND OUT.
