big problem with the DC motor lift on OMC. You have to remove the 1/2 circle lift gear from the motor usually 3 bolts. then you can lift the motor with ease and re-install the 3 bolts.

I'm in the same problem. Omc won't tilt or trim!!! Like you wonder if there is a way to manually tilt. Need to remove boat from water asap. Did you find any solutions. thanks

See if your switch is bad for a start. Could be that simple ! Should be able to get a switch at hardware store.
