So I haven't put my boat in the water in a couple months. Pulled off cover and did some inspections to the batteries for corrosion on wires and terminals cleaned them reconnected them and plugged in charging system. Started noticing a funny smell under the cowling. So I turned off helm power and disconnected batteries. The smell was the solenoid being extremely hot! What causes this? It's a mercury pro xs 250 year 2016
