Recently did an oil change 4-weeks ago on a Saturday morning and took it out Saturday afternoon boat ran like a champ no problems. Took the boat out 2-weeks later and went to get on plane (only lasted about 30-45 seconds) and the audible alarm sounded and motor went into protect mode and started bogging down. Motor will idle/run arounnd 2000-2200rpm (5-7mph) as long as it wants. This happened in the past and we removed the thermostat and the motor had no more alarms. Could this be a faulty sensor somewhere? We double and triple checked the oil level which is still full, the motor still spits a strong stream of water and it doesnt run hot.
