Mercury 1989 50 hp 3 Cylinder Blows Switch box

Bought a 1989 boat ran great for a year. Blew the switch box, it also had a melted rectifyer. I ordered and replaced the Stator, trigger, Switch box, rectifyer and Key Ignition Switch. All were new CDI except the key switch was OEM. Great compression on all cylinders. I cleaned ALL grounds and conections on the motor and battery. Battery is new. Boat fired up and purred. Got up on plane running like a champ and it blew the switch box??????? Help The fly wheel and magmets are perfect and nothing is htting. Stator looks brand new still. Double checked to make sure all the parts were the right ones????????????????? Craig |
