Mastercraft Overheating

by Mark
(Grattan, MI)

I have a 2002 Mastercraft Prostar 190 with about 2000 hours on it. I have an overheating problem that I can't seem to figure out. I have replaced the thermostat, installed a new impeller and checked the intake hose that leads to the trans cooler. Sometimes weeds and debris accumulate in there and cause problems. If and when I am going slowly, the overheating happens rather quickly. If I give it some throttle, the temp will come down as water is more forced through the system. Any ideas?
