Could also be low power steering fluid. Mine did this after an engine change and it sounded like a main bearing was running dry and spun. I topped off the power steering reservoir and the squeal was gone.

sounds like a belt a simple belt change will more then likely fix it if not it is a barring problem

Alternator belt needs to be replaced or tightened. That would be one guess. Could be a bearing. Try the belt first !
