Instruments and/or gauges

I am new to boating. I have a 2001 Bayliner 185 LX with a 4.3 Mercruiser. Here is my problem... One of two things happen when I start my boat. 1. I either have nothing on my gauges...gas needle doesnt move or the oil pressure needle doesnt move along with tach or battery meter with this situation no alarms go off. or 2. All of the gauges work and everything reads normal...oil pressure is at 40, battery is between 12-14 and RPM read about 800 idling then the alarms start going off even though everything reads normally Any suggestions? |
