ignition problem?

When the key is off, I can turn the radio on and a few other accessories work. When I turn the key to the on position none of that works anymore. I crank the motor over and it starts just fine and runs great, but still no gauges. The only gauge that is working is the temperature gauge. My boat is a 1992 Glastron 19' with the 5.0 Mercruiser.
