Answer
First you have to know what you want to do on rigs, and what type of rigs, ie drilling? Rigs run on skills (why everyone thinks otherwise is a mystery to me), and there is little time to train people. I suggest you go and get some experience on building construction sites or industrial sites as tradesman assistant, or get crane driving experience and a ticket for same, get skills you can transport offshore, get some sueful skills that will make someone want to hire you. PS Rigs are not a job for life, you can be out of work real fast
