Hard to shift boat into gear

I have a 2002 aftershock with a 350 merc mag I put a new control box in it cause it was all cracked inside. It has been hard to shift into gear don't know if it is internal or if it is the cable from the cable bracket to the bravo one outboard. How hard and what do i got to do to change it? There is no room to change without tacking the outboard off I think, please help. |
