is a Hallberg-Rassy Rasmus 35, built in Sweden for serious offshore
sailing. Hallberg- Rassy is listed in Ferenc Maté’s book “The World’s Best
Sailboats”, known for their strength, quality and for retaining their
value. A huge added value to Sojourner is the fact she is fully DUTY PAID
in Fiji, which means she can remain in Fiji indefinitely - making her the
perfect cruising vessel or home in paradise. No need to take months off
work for a huge passage – just step off the plane onto your yacht in the
perfect location. She has been extensively refitted for a
circumnavigation, meticulously maintained & shows like new. There is a new
custom-built nav station with all electronics, chart table, new top
loading efficient fridge; new upholstery; all new deck hardware and
rigging - in fact virtually everything was refitted in 1999 & 2001, and
the 75hp Volvo was re-built - we spared no expense. She is virtually self
sufficient with a wind generator, solar panels and large watermaker; in
fact she is fully equipped with absolutely everything needed to continue
her voyage around the world. She now lies in Fiji, just 20 min from Nadi
International airport, 2 hours from spectacular Musket Cove, and just a
few hours of pleasant sailing to the stunning Yasawa Islands, this is the
best of all worlds. The only reason my wife and I are selling our dream
boat is because I was offered a job in the US that I could not refuse, and
we have cruised the stunning Fiji Islands for the last 5 years, so it’s
time to move on.
