Fuel gauge does not work

I have a 1995 Chaparral Signature 31, and the fuel gauge has not worked since I bought it three years ago. It does register something, and it does move, but never reads more than 1/4 tank. I want to replace the float, etc. all the way back to the tank. The problem is that I cannot find access to that area. Can you help? |
