engine starting problems

I have a 1978 sleekcraft executive with a ford 460. I got the boat for free knowing it needed work. It ran ok when i first got it, but would die once it was in the water. I found that one of the terminals on the fuse panel was broken, so i replaced that. The fuse panel i replaced it with was a fuse panel that allowed 20 amps per fuse. I am not sure what the previous amp rating was on the original one. I also replaced the starter the starter solenoid the ballast resistor and the ignition coil. Now needless to say my boat will not start. Please help i am going to take it to a shop but just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions. . Click here to read or post comments. |
