electrical problem on 98 glactron trim handle

the trim handle has an electrical problem inside of it. i think it may be a short or loose wire inside but not sure the problem is causing the ignition switch to not turn on and it cuts out when i click the trim switch. then it comes back on out of no where. how do i fix this?? thanks..
