crank no start 1985 seville

I have a 1985 sea ray seville 140 hp open bow, i have a crank to start, not geting any spark. coil has power going to it but is not geting any spark? what could it be? Could it be its not geting a signail from the distruburter?
And should that be my next step is replacing that?
