Bayliner bolster seats

by Dan
(Ottawa Canada)

I have just bought a new bayliner 175 and I wanted to add a bolster seat for the drivers side. Bayliner does sell a bolster seat but in my judgement it is poorly designed. Any bolster seat that in the upright position does not go past center is likely to flop down with the slight bit of movement forward. I have personally tried sitting in their bolster seat and I too tend to have the bolster flop down ..... this is due to poor engineering in my opinion.

There are however on some models, a bracket that allows the bolster to move past center and thus when you sit on the bolster it dones not move forward and down.

Is it me or do other boat owners experience the same problem.

Dan
