alternator guage drops making temperature gauge rise

While operating my mainship (1994) can be driving along and suddenly my port engine alternantor gusge will drop to about 12.5 reading and temperature gauge will rise from 170 to 200 degrees and I also notice my oil guage rise. Can slow down engine and everything will come back to normal. Don't see anything that makes it appear to be an overheating issue. |
