after running 5000rpm then going to idle will not go back to high speed

When trolling my evinrude 1998 70hp runs great, when moving to another area at around 5000rpm it will run ok. When going back to slow speed for a few minutes and then trying to get back to high speed the motor will not go over 2500 rpm and sounds like it is bogging down. Any ideas? |
