78 185 has water coming out of crank case vent hoses

I took my 78 185omc out for the first time this summer. it was idling fine then died. i went and pulled the cowling off to find that a mixture of oil and water had been coming out of the crankcase vent hoses.i took it out of the water and drained about 5 gallons of water and oil out of the oil pan. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.


Sounds like a rebuild because of water is in oil then internal leakage maybe gasket failure
