3 liter boat HEATER

I have a question on were to install the return from the heater. Will it hurt or destroy my motor if I connect it to the rt side it looks to be the same part that a hose goes into from the front (small screw on top near back)I opened it and it had a lot of suction. Is it ok or is there a different place I can use
