boat/motor about 5 yrs old. 18 1/2 Lowe with 115 outboard jet. Used about 6 times. Original oil is still in Motor. I want to use the best synthetic quicksilver. When I purchased the rig I bought 25w40 semi synthetic oil for first oil change. Is this oil still good after sitting 5 years in original containers ? Is 25w40 the correct oil for my area ? zip code 23030, Charles city VA. Temperature range 30 F to 100 f.

Oil doesn't usually age if clean and sealed and no water or moisture in it.
