2021 4 stroke 90 hp Mercury

New Tracker Pro Guide 16 this past May. No issues until yesterday when it almost sounded like the lower unit had neutralized on a tight turn at about 4500 rpms and then quickly recovered. Happened twice, I thought maybe cavitation or hub was spun but fine the trip home. Happened again tonight at slower speed, also on a turn,, out and then quickly back to normal. Shift linkage feels fine but I did notice what I consider excessive end play at the lower unit output shaft. Have not put a dial indicator on it but's enough that I can rock the shaft up and down a little.

I'm going to call the dealer in the morning as it shouyld be covered but figured I's post here to see if it's a common problem.
Thanks
Chris
