200hp Johnson 89 revs up after 3-4 hrs. trolling

bought a used 78 Robalo/200 Johnson 89 engine. having problems with speed. boat wouldn`t get up on plane. had carbs cleaned and a new powerpack installed. Now it gets up to 3900rpm and after 3-4 hrs of trolling , it will get up to 5000rpms. Any ideas why it is doing this? Thank you.. |
