2004 Sea Ray 200 Outdrive noise

I have a 2004 Sea Ray 200 Select with a 4.3 L engine & Alpha one outdrive. When I am in gear (forward or reverse) and turn the wheel all the way, right or left, I hear a knocking noise. There is no noise when you are out of gear, which leads me to believe I may have a bad u-joint on the outdrive. Have been searching around the internet and that is what I have determined. Saw your site and figured another opinion would be appreciated. Thanks
