Rapid overheat
by: Castmaster

Could be a bad head gasket allowing exhaust gases to escape into the cooling jackets.

you might want to also check your thermostat. another thing, on my 2000, the impeller started to fall apart----you gotta make sure and get all the pieces out of the line (hose) that goes to the thermostat housing or it will clog it and you'll overheat from lack of water.

I have the same problem, I replaced the impeller on the water pump. Small rubber part.
