19993 yamaha 225 hp, flat spot in acceleration from idle , once engine is up to speed run normal

I have a 1993 yamaha 225 hp on a 20 ft. hydro sport 2000dc, engine when accelerating from idle to higher rpm has flat spot, once engine gets to past idle runs fine at all rpm ranges( acts as if it had bad accelerator pump if it had one.engine idles fine
