I have a 1997 Mariner 250 OB, never had a problem or issue always ran about 5900 RPM at 48 max perfect conditions. Suddenly high RPM +1k and loss of speed about 10 mph. Checked prop,replaced hub on stiletto prop. prop has no damage no sign of wear or damage???? was professionally checked and used center punch marked hub and prop. there was shift or movement, therefore new hub pressed in, still high rpm. engine runs and sounds great, still excessive rpm. is this still a prop issue?
